Syncing Between Devices

When you sign in to the same Emorli account on several devices — say an iPad at home, a tablet at kindergarten, and a computer at the clinic — your boards are available on all of them, automatically. You work on one device, and everything is waiting on the next.

What syncs

  • Your boards, with all their tiles.
  • Personal pictures you've added to tiles.
  • Personal voice recordings.
  • Boards received through sharing with professionals.

When syncing happens

Syncing runs on its own — there's nothing to tap:

  • When the app opens and every time you return to it.
  • On a manual refresh — the Refresh data button at the bottom of Settings, or the refresh buttons next to the category titles on the home screen.

It's also your backup

When you're signed in to an account, your boards are stored in the cloud: even if the device is lost, breaks, or is replaced — sign in to your account on a new device and everything comes back.

👀 No account — no backup

Without signing in to an account, your boards exist only on the device itself. Uninstalling the app will delete them for good. If you've put work into your boards — it's worth signing in.

How many devices can I connect?

The number of devices you can connect to an account at the same time depends on your license. Details about device slots, unlinking an old device, and the difference between unlinking and signing out are on the License and Devices page.

What happens without internet?

Syncing itself requires an internet connection, but the app keeps working as usual without one — any change you make will sync automatically the moment the connection returns. More about working offline in the FAQ.
