Printing and PDF
Any board can be printed or saved as a PDF file — great for a paper backup board (in case the device isn't available or the battery runs out), for laminating, for hanging in the classroom, or for sending to the care team.
How to print
- Open the board and enter edit mode (see Editing a Board).
- In the toolbar, tap PDF/Print.
- The device's print dialog opens — from there you can send to a printer or choose to save as a PDF file. The page is laid out in landscape, matching the shape of the board.
What the printout looks like
The printout reflects the board as it appears on screen: the same tile layout, the same words, and the same pictures — including the image set you chose in Settings and the tiles' category colors. That way the paper board matches the digital board the users already know.
Even in the built-in boards that come with the app — where tiles can't be edited — the PDF/Print button is available in the edit mode toolbar.
Want a slightly different printout? Change the board before printing — for example the grid size or the tile display (picture + word, word only, or picture only) in Board Settings — and print again.
